You know there is something f***ed up in the Travel Industry as far as hotel accommodation goes, when after years of ripping off travelers, those that have been robbing us blind by charging outrageous room rates for sometimes only the basic amenities and lousy service, all of a sudden are offering deals at rock bottom prices.
And pahleease don’t thank the global financial crisis for that either. Oh well, hotel operators better wake the f*** up, or else they are going to find themselves in the same situation as Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. Can you say karma?
Their third-quarter earnings fell a whopping 65 per cent amid slumping consumer demand, and its no wonder given that their W Hotels are dressed up to make it look like spending a night or perhaps even a few is worth the $499 they were charging.
Trust me when I say that it isn’t the sheets that make your hotel stay worth the money you paid, for if it was, those cotton sheets from India they cover the mattress with, would come with a half-naked Bollywood dancer to you know, hang out with you between the sheets. Both of you if your hotel stay includes your wife.
Somebody should tell hotel operators that it isn’t just about the sheets you jump between with the missus or whoever, but that it’s about the quality of hotel staff too. They should be at your beckon call, especially for the amount of money travelers are forking out for accommodation these days.
Chic and cheap, that’s the kind of accommodation CG looks for, and dare I say a lot of people, but hey what the f*** do I know, right?
Maybe you should read what this smart guy had to say in the New York Times, and maybe its time for business travelers and vacationers to get up off their asses and push hotels directly into guaranteeing the best rates and deals going.
You know, there are lots of smaller hotels and B&Bs (bed and breakfasts for those of you a few winks of a good night’s sleep today) who don’t use aggregator software companies like Wotif and Travel.com.au, but they do a good job, it’s just that neither one are willing to take inventory from smaller hotels and motels that don’t want to work with them, or vice versa. What ends up happening; the smaller guys strike out on their own and build their own websites to reach out to potential hotel and motel guests.
Enough of this shit, if you want to get a really good deal these days, you have to crawl a lot of websites to find them, and that can be time consuming and frustrating, what with having to wait for pages to load, blah, blah, blah.
Having said that, save yourself some time and visit cheapaccommodation.com.au when looking for the best accommodation rates in Australia and around the world.
I’m telling you, CG knows what he is talking about when he says, “Stay away from those so-called luxury hotels where the room rates are outrageous and the smiles are fake. Say hello to great deals on cheap and comfortable accommodations at cheapaccommodation.com.au.”
And another thing…”Have a nice day,” and “You’re so welcome,” hotel staff force themselves to say sometimes, like get f***ing real. Half the time they aren’t even sincere when they say it. It depends on how their day is going I guess.
And what about those insults hotel staff hurl at guests sometimes or after they have paid a shit load of money for accommodation and bring to their attention concerns they might have about that usually over-price accommodation.
If you’re not impressed with what you are seeing or having to put up with after shelling out big bucks for your room, and you take your concerns to the front desk or whomever is working at the hotel, and then that somebody insults you; like f*** off Jack and Jill I didn’t pay for you to insult me, belittle me or make me sound like I’m stupid.
Just give me comfortable and affordable accommodation, be a good host or hostess and shut the f*** up already.

Good things happen to those who do good things, right?
